Volleyball Drops Match at Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Clemson volleyball team fell, 3-0 (24-26, 10-25, 12-25), to Boston College Sunday afternoon in the Eagles’ Power Gym. Clemson, now 5-13 on the season, was led by sophomore outside hitter Kaylin Korte, who posted a team-high nine kills, while sophomore middle blocker Jaden Light collected four blocks.

 

The Tigers claimed the first two points of the match before dropping seven straight points, going down early, 7-2. Clemson clawed its way back, tying the set at 18-18 after rallying three straight points. After back and fourth action, the Tigers knotted the score 24-24 after claiming back-to-back points, prompting the Eagles to burn a timeout. Coming out of the huddle, Boston College won back-to-back points, claiming the first set, 26-24.

 

From there, the Tigers could not recover, dropping both the second (25-10) and third sets (25-12).

 

Up next, Clemson faces Louisville (10-5, 4-1 ACC) Friday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. in Cardinal Arena before traveling to Notre Dame (13-4, 3-3 ACC) on Sunday, Oct. 15 for a 1 p.m. contest. Both matches will air on ACC Network Extra.
