CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers fell to the Kennesaw State Owls, 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-11), in Jervey Gym Tuesday evening. Clemson will look to bounce back as the Tigers travel to Yale on Friday to compete in the Yale Invitational.
“Kennesaw State has a very good program. That’s a team that’s going to be competing to go into the NCAA tournament, which is the exact reason why we scheduled them,” Clemson first-year head coach Michaela Franklin said after the match. “We weren’t use to the ball coming up. We’re use to swinging, taking big swings, and putting the ball away. It took us a little bit to adjust to the ball coming back across the net.”
The Tigers will head to New Haven, Connecticut, to compete in the Yale Invitational against Rhode Island, Delaware and Yale. Clemson faces Rhode Island on Friday, Sept. 1 with the first serve scheduled for 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Tigers take on Delaware at 12:30 p.m. and Yale at 7 p.m. Saturday’s nightcap against the Bulldogs will air on the Ivy League Network. Live stats for all three matches can be accessed on ClemsonTigers.com.
