Q. Where are you from and why is it unique to you?
A. I am from Delray Beach, Fla., and it is unique because there are so many tennis courts and fans in the community in Delray. Every neighborhood has five or more tennis courts and people of all ages play daily. It is a great environment for me to be in to keep improving my game and stay motivated.
Q. Do you have any siblings?
A. I have a brother and a sister, and they’re both older. My sister played tennis at Amherst College.
Q. If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why?
A. It would probably be Bora Bora, because I have never been there before. I’ve traveled to a lot of places, but never Bora Bora, and I think it would be pretty cool.
Q. What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?
A. The most amazing adventure would be something involving the beach. I love snorkeling, so something like when you dive off cliffs at the beach and then go snorkeling in really clear water.
Q. What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their life?
A. At least once in your life, everyone should skydive. I think skydiving would be awesome and really want to do it some day.
Q. If you were an animated character, which character would you be and why?
A. I would say Cinderella. I probably look more like her because of my blonde hair, but I would choose her because of her work ethic, too.
Q. What is your biggest pet peeve?
A. I don’t like when people are typing or texting and use incorrect grammar or misspell words. I get it from my sister, who always used to correct me.
Q. What is the most annoying question people ask you?
A. The most annoying question people ask me is how tall I am. It’s not really that it’s annoying, it’s just that I get asked it a few times a day at least, so it gets old.
Q. What would you title the current chapter of your life?
A. I would title it, “Great beginning to the second half: My college experience.” I’m going into my junior year at Clemson, so it is the second half of my college experience, and it’s been a great start to the year.
Q. What do you wish you could tell yourself 10 years ago?
A. Ten years ago, I would tell myself to listen to your parents and your coaches, because they know what they’re talking about.
Q. What do you think you’ll want to tell your current self 10 years from now?
A. I would want to tell myself to never stop having fun with what you’re doing and never take anything too seriously.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A. In 10 years, hopefully I’ll be living in New York. I would like to work for a fashion company somewhere on the business side of things.
Q. If you were frozen for 100 years, what would be your first question after waking up?
A. Frozen for 100 years is a long time. I would probably ask how many generations of my family went past since I’d been frozen.
Q. If you could have dinner with anyone (dead or alive), who would it be?
A. I would have dinner with Anna Wintour. She’s the editor-in-chief of Vogue. I think that would be awesome.
Q. What piece of entertainment do you wish you could erase from your mind so you could experience it for the first time again?
A. One piece of entertainment I wish I could erase would be Coachella! It was unbelievable and I loved the atmosphere, so if I could relive that, I definitely would.
Q. What fictional place would you most like to go?
A. I would say Hogwarts. I love all the Harry Potter books and movies, so actually going to Hogwarts would be a surreal experience.
