|Position:||Strength and Conditioning Coach|
Kaitlyn Cunningham is in her second season with the women’s basketball program as the Strength and Conditioning Coach. Cunningham spent the previous three seasons working with the women’s soccer program and two seasons with the rowing program at Clemson.
“Coach Cunningham is one of the great young strength and conditioning coaches in the nation, and what she was able to accomplish with the resurgence women’s soccer program, is exciting for what we are trying to do,” said Smith. “She brings a tremendous amount of energy and will challenge our student-athletes daily, and we are thrilled to have her with us.”
Cunningham, a 2011 graduate from the University of Kansas, was a four-year letterwinner as a soccer player for the Jayhawks. She also spent time as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Eastern Illinois before coming to Clemson.
Cunningham moved over to women’s basketball after the women’s soccer team was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament in November of 2014. In addition to coordinating and directing in-season and offseason training regimens, Cunningham also oversees meal planning and nutrition for each individual on the team.
Cunningham received her master's in Sports Administration from Eastern Illinois in 2012. She holds certifications through the NSCA (CSCS) and CSCCa (SCCC).
