Position: Assistant Coach / Defensive Linemen

•    Added as a full-time assistant coach in January 2016; takes over as coach of the defensive line following the retirement of Dan Brooks and move of Marion Hobby to the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars.
•    Helped Jacksonville State to 33-6 record in three seasons from 2014-16. The Gamecocks reached the FCS National Championship Game in 2015, and compiled a perfect 23-0 record in the Ohio Valley Conference with three titles in his tenure.
•    Helped the 2016 Gamecocks to a 10-2 record and No. 6 final ranking; helped team to fourth-best total defense figure in all of FCS at 275 yards per game.
•    As an assistant on the 2014 Jacksonville State staff, helped defense to a league-best 127.7 rushing yards per game allowed.
•    Began coaching career at Talladega (Ala.) High School in 2007 and then Oxford (Miss.) High School in 2008; also served as head strength & conditioning coach at Oxford.
•    Also spent time as an assistant coach at Idaho State in 2011,12, and East Mississippi Junior College in 2013.
•    Earned four letters as a defensive end at Alabama from 2001-04; served as permanent co-captain as a senior.
•    Played defensive end for the Tennessee Titans in 2005,06.
