CLEMSON, S.C. - Ten members of the 2014 Clemson rowing squad were named to the All-ACC Academic Rowing team, announced by the conference on Tuesday. Clemson's 10 selections trailed only Notre Dame (11) for the most honorees among the eight schools with rowing.

Senior captain Laura D'Urso and junior Giulia Longatti each earned their third straight Academic All-ACC honor. The two are the 10th and 11th Tigers, respectively, in school history to earn three Academic All-ACC honors. No Clemson rower has been named to the team four times.

Both of the Tigers' All-ACC rowers, Samantha Duggan and Paula Wesselmann, were also named to the team. Seven of the last eight Tigers to be named All-ACC were also named Academic All-ACC for the same season.

Stephannie Allen, Erin Ferguson, Julie Gilbert, Rebecca Kretzer, Emily Mutschler and Anna Skochdopole were each named to the team for the first time to round out the group. Each of the 10 Clemson honorees was also named a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete earlier this offseason.

The 10 Academic All-ACC selections rank tied for second most in school history. Clemson had also 10 selections in 2012, which trailed the record of 11 set by the 2009 squad.
