This experience has been incredible! Getting to visit new countries, meet new people, and become familiar with new cultures, I can say that I will take so many great memories back home with me. This journey started two years ago when the opportunity to play with the 18-Under Argentinean team was presented to me, since I was raised in Argentina until my teenage years this was an honor for me to represent Argentina.

But this year was completely different, this is a new team and I'm the youngest player on the team by quite a bit. It is going to help me to grow as a player and learn from all the national teams with international experience.

The trip to Ecuador was great, we played against Brazil, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, and Chile to qualify for the 2010 World Cup. We defeated everyone except Brazil in the championship game. I'm very pleased with my performance in the tournament, being that it was challenging to adapt to the Argentinean way of playing.

Our daily schedule was the same every day. We woke up, ate breakfast, went to practice, took naps, and played our games, so there was not much time to wander around the city. Ecuador was a very interesting country, the tourney was held in a small city in between the mountains called Loja. This is a very poor country and it makes you appreciate the things you have in life, and see the conditions that people in other parts of the world live in.

We even had to shower with cold water some days, (I never had to experience that, lol) and the food was also very different (all I know is we always ate rice!).

Here are some pictures of the city that I would like to share:
