Graduated from one of the most prestigious high schools in Macedonia, Orce Nikolov in Skopje, Macedonia...prior coming to Clemson University he spent the first two college years in Rollins College (NCAA Division II school) in Orlando FL...was a member in the Macedonian national junior team for all age groups...runner up at nationals 14&U in 1993 and 1994...runner up at nationals 16&U in 1995...National Champion 18&U in 1996...played in the European Team Championships in 1998 when Macedonia beat Great Britain...runner up at nationals for seniors in 1998 (and also national champion in doubles in 1998), and 1999...played in the Macedonian Davis Cup team in 1999 and 2001...played 1, 2, and 3 during the 2000-2001 season when Rollins won the national team championship (NCAA Division II)...was also the national champion in doubles that season.
