CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA--Jonathan Villanueva scored with 14:40 left to go in the match as fifth-ranked Virginia defeated second-ranked Clemson 1-0 in an Atlantic Coast Conference men's soccer match at Charlottesville, VA Saturday night.

With the win Virginia improves to 10-1 overall and 3-1 in the ACC. Clemson falls to 8-1-1 overall, and 2-1-1 in the ACC.

Villanueva scored his first goal of the year at the 75:20 mark in the match. He was assisted by Yannick Reyering.
