Overall: Only senior on the Clemson team for 2001-02…a team leader in every sense of the word who will have an impact on Clemson's national finish this year…outstanding example to the younger players who has been named to the ACC Academic Honor roll each of the last four years, joining Jonathan Byrd as the only Tiger to do that…he could make it an unprecedented fifth year this year…will graduate in May with a degree in business administration… Michelin Career Awareness Award from Vickery Hall for 2000…Overall Team GPA Award winner in 2001 and he was named to Clemson's All-Academic team, one athlete from each sport is a member of the team…has golfed all over the world…toured Ireland in 1999 with a Clemson golf grouip that played Ballybunion, Royal County Down and Lahinch, among others…in summer of 2001 played some of the world's top courses in Scotland…played St. Andrew's and Carnoustie in the same day…shot a 63 at Gullane to establish the course record…veteran of two tournaments for the Tigers, played n Mexico at the US Collegiates in the spring of 2001, then the Carpet Classic in the fall of 2001…shot a 229 at the Carpet Classic to finish 40th overall and fourth among the Tigers…his score counted two of the three rounds…his score counted all three days he played at the US Collegiate in Mexico…had 39 pars in shooting a 225 at the US Collegiates, only Cody Breyer of Arizona and Bryce Molder of Georgia Tech had more (40)…has played six career rounds and his score has counted five of the six.

Summer 2001: Quarterfinalist at South Carolina match play…20th in the South Carolina Amateur…finished 5th in the Festival of Flowers in Greenwood, SC…4th in Upstate Amateur at Furman University…reached match play of Carolinas Amateur, an event played at the Dunes Club at Myrtle Beach….finished 35th at the South Carolina Amateur in 1999.

In High School: All-state golfer in 1996 at Spartanburg High School...played at one of the top golf programs in the state of South Carolina, all six seniors on team his senior year made Division I rosters the next year..all-regional selection in high school...finished seventh at the state junior amateur tournament in 1996.

Personal Information: Father is a doctor in Spartanburg and is a golf enthusiast…has accompanied Tripp and the Clemson group that has toured Ireland and Scotland over the last three years…born 6-1-79...majoring in business administration.
