Coach Larry Shyatt on Ray Henderson
“Ray Henderson has earned appointed captain position on this basketball team along with Edward Scott, because he has shown leadership in many areas.   He has shown great  improvement in the classroom, and on the court as he has become more and more consistent over is career.   Ray has already demonstrated that he is one of the best rebounders in the ACC, and probably has the ability to be one of the top rebounders in America.

“Conditioning will be probably the number-one factor  affecting to Ray’s ability to lead us at both ends of the floor.   This is an area that Ray must focus on, because it will have a direct correlation to our level of success up front this season. He is a very good example for our young post players.   His development on and off the court since he first came to Clemson is a great example for our younger players as well.”
