In High School: Listed as one of the nation's top 150 prospects by ESPN.com and Hoopmasters...first-team All-Metropolitan selection by the Washington Post...earned All-WCAC honors as a senior...averaged a double-double, with 11 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 4.1 blocks per game in 2006-07...his best all-around game was in the St.Louis KMOX Shootout when he had 19 points and 21 rebounds...led DeMatha Catholic High School to three straight Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) titles...had a double-double in the Capital Classic All-Star Game with 11 points and 10 rebounds...fellow Tiger signee Terrence Oglesby played against him in that event...also participated in the Charm City Challenge in Baltimore, MD...averaged 10 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks per game on a team that went 34-1 his junior year...his team was ranked #4 in the country by USA Today his junior year...coached by Mike Jones at DeMatha...chose Clemson over NC State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Marquette, and DePaul...born January 10, 1989...majoring in english.
