2001-2002: Served as starter and reserve for the Tigers as a sophomore... active player defensively who does not make mistakes...has 43 career steals and 45 career turnovers, close to becoming just the second Clemson player in history with more steals than turnovers...only player on the Clemson team with more steals than turnovers last year...one of just two Tigers with more assists than turnovers, Scott was the other... fortunate to be playing at all , he was diagnosed with heart ailment (Long QT Syndrome) in preseason of 2001-02 that was suppose to end his career... but got second opinion from doctors at Emory University hospital and was cleared to play... had been suffering from fatigue (Vaso-Vagal Sycope) and did not missed a game in 2001-02 and started seven... had two double figure scoring games early in the season, he had 14 against Wofford and 10 in win at Penn State... had five rebounds and 4-8 shooting in that win at Penn State... had eight points and career high five assists in win over Appalachian State... had nine points on 3-4 three-point shooting in win over Charleston Southern... active on the boards for a 6-5 player, he has at least one rebound in 22 of the 30 games... handles the ball well he had just 10 turnovers in his last 16 games... has played 61 career games, 24 as a starter... has 30 career three-point goals, including one in the ACC Tournament against Florida State... needs to improve his free throw shooting, just a 44 percent free throw shooter this year and 45 percent for his career... solid defender, he came in to defend Tony Akins late in the win over Georgia Tech on Jan. 5 when Edward Scott got in foul trouble... shut out Akins when he was in the game. In 2000-01: Moved into the starting lineup as a freshman against Maryland on January 2 and started all but one ACC game...had his best performance against an ACC team at Virginia with season high 10 points and seven rebounds...also had three steals in that game...the rebound total was his high mark since the Washington game in San Juan when he had12...had seven points and five rebounds in season finale against Florida State, giving him 17 points and 12 rebounds in 42 minutes in last two regular season games...averages 4.7 points a game against the league...third on the team in steals in league games...had strong game in win over NC State, he had season high nine points on 4-6 shooting...those nine points included a key three-point goal in the second half...followed that with nine points at North Carolina, including 3-4 shooting...had rebound dunk in that game that was featured on ESPN...had a solid game against the Terps at Littlejohn, he had seven points and a blocked shot in 14 minutes...that was his fourth game of seven points this year...did not score in the first four games he played and had just seven points over the first six games...had seven points and six rebounds at South Carolina in a fine performance...had season high 12 rebounds and six points in 27 minutes against Washington...had five offensive rebounds in that game...had just 24 turnovers in 436 minutes (one every 18 minutes) and had a positive assist/turnover ratio....another native of North Carolina on the Clemson team, he is a native of Louisburg, NC...scored 22 points in the last four games of the season…had more than two turnovers in a game just once all year, never in an ACC game.
