Slated to be a weekday starter and long reliever as a first-year freshman in 2007, but he suffered several injuries that forced him out of action...suffered another injury in 2008 and red-shirted...slowed by nagging injuries again in 2009...will compete for innings as a starter and reliever in 2010...has an 0-0 record and 6.75 ERA in six career appearances (one start)...in 8.0 innings pitched, he has allowed 11 hits and no walks with six strikeouts.

2009: Had an 0-0 record and 3.00 ERA in three relief appearances...in 3.0 innings pitched, he allowed two hits (.200 opponents' batting average) and no walks with one strikeout...pitched a perfect inning in relief against North Carolina-Asheville on Mar. 4...pitched a scoreless inning in relief against North Carolina-Wilmington on May 8...played for Thomasville in the Coastal Plain League in the summer, where he was 1-2 with an 8.69 ERA in 19.2 innings pitched over nine appearances (two starts); he had 24 strikeouts against only seven walks.

2008: Red-shirted...suffered another hip injury and was lost for the season...#27 freshman in the nation in the preseason by Baseball America.

2007: Had a 9.00 ERA in three appearances (one start)...in 5.0 innings pitched, he allowed nine hits (.409 opponents' batting average) and no walks with five strikeouts...Clemson won all three games he appeared in...held lefthanded batters to 1-for-5 (.200)...held the leadoff batter in an inning to 1-for-6 (.167)...made his first career start and appearance against High Point on Feb. 21...pitched a perfect inning in relief with a strikeout against Gardner-Webb on Mar. 27; it was his first outing in over a month after suffering a leg injury...pitched 2.0 innings in relief against Georgia on Apr. 4...#18 freshman in the nation in the preseason by Baseball America.

BEFORE CLEMSON: Named an AFLAC All-American at T.C. Roberson High School...member of the USA Junior National Team in 2005, where he was 2-0 with a 0.59 ERA...#20 prospect in the nation by Baseball America...drafted in the 34th round (#1027 overall pick) by the Philadelphia Phillies in 2006...was 7-1 with a 1.26 ERA, 65 strikeouts, and two no-hitters in 50.0 innings pitched as a junior...lettered four times in baseball at T.C.
