Sophomore infielder who shined in his limited action in 2011...will compete for the starting spot at second base in 2012.

2011: Was 6-for-12 (.500) with six runs, one double, two RBIs, four walks, and a .625 on-base percentage in 12 games (one start as the DH)...had three putouts and four assists without committing an error...was 3-for-5 with runners on base...was 5-for-10 with a double, two RBIs, five runs, and a .615 on-base percentage in his 11 games off the bench...was 4-for-4 with five runs, one double, two RBIs, and three walks in five non-ACC regular-season games; he reached base via a hit or walk in all seven of his plate appearances...was 5-for-8 with a double, two RBIs, five runs, and a .727 on-base percentage in nine home games...was 4-for-5 with a double, two RBIs, five runs, and an .875 on-base percentage in four May games...hit a single in his first career plate appearance against Elon on Mar. 23...came off the bench, walked, and scored a run against Western Carolina on Apr. 6...hit a pinch-hit, two-run double in the first game of a doubleheader against Gardner-Webb on May 7...came off the bench and went 1-for-1 with a run and walk in the second game of a doubleheader against Gardner-Webb on May 7...went 1-for-2 with a run and walk in the second game of a doubleheader at Virginia Tech on May 14; his leadoff walk in the eighth inning with the score tied 3-3 set up Brad Miller's go-ahead three-run homer; it was his first career start...went 1-for-1 with two runs and a walk off the bench against Davidson on May 17...hit a pinch-hit single against Sacred Heart in the Clemson Regional on June 3...played for North Shore in the New England Collegiate Baseball League in the summer, where he hit .205 with 13 runs, four doubles, one homer, eight RBIs, and seven steals in 24 games.
