2008: Red-shirted...played for Wilmington in the Coastal Plain League in the summer, where he had a 2.20 ERA and .148 opponents batting average in 16.1 innings pitched over 14 relief appearances; he had one save, 16 strikeouts, and did not allow a home run.

BEFORE CLEMSON: An all-state selection as a senior and all-region pick as a junior and senior at Chapman High School...lettered three times in baseball at Chapman High, where he was coached by Kevin Carr.
