2011: Was 2-for-8 (.250) with two runs, four RBIs, three walks, three hit-by-pitches, and a .571 on-base percentage in 14 games, all off the bench...had three putouts without committing an error...was 2-for-5 with runners in scoring position...was 2-for-2 with four RBIs and a walk with the bases loaded...had his first career hit along with an RBI off the bench against Charleston Southern on Feb. 26...hit a pinch-hit, two-run single in the first game of a doubleheader against Gardner-Webb on May 7...played for Wilson in the Coastal Plain League in the summer, where he hit .299 with 23 runs, eight doubles, one triple, two homers, and 21 RBIs in 48 games...rated as the #36 prospect in the Coastal Plain League by Perfect Game.

Before Clemson: Rated as the #33 prospect in Florida and the #221 prospect in the nation by Perfect Game...all-area, all-county, and all-conference as a senior at Barron Collier High School...team captain as a junior and senior...preseason honorable mention All-American by Perfect Game and Under Armour as a senior...all-county and all-conference selection as a sophomore...from the same high school that produced Tiger first-baseman Andy D'Alessio (2004-07) and Tiger outfielder Jeff Schaus (2008-11)...lettered four times in baseball at Barron Collier High, where he was coached by Dan Maurer.
