Before Clemson: Played the 2009 and 2010 seasons at College of Charleston under Head Coach Monte Lee...was 21-for-77 (.273) with 31 runs, two homers, 12 RBIs, and 16 steals in 76 games (15 starts) at College of Charleston...was 18-for-68 (.265) with two homers, two doubles, 10 RBIs, 23 runs, and 14 steals in 47 games (15 starts) in 2010...was 3-for-9 (.333) with a double, two RBIs, eight runs, three walks, and two steals in 29 games off the bench in 2009...lettered five times in baseball at Berkeley High School, where he was coached by Shane Todd...played in the North-South All-Star game after his senior season.
