Clemson student-athletes logged a total of 3,594 hours of community service during the 2010-11 academic year, and 401 student-athletes participated in at least one event throughout the year. 2010-11 Community Service by the Numbers
Approximately 1,200 children attended the Be a T.I.G.E.R! Field Day
401 student-athletes participated in at least one event this year
Student-athletes who were actively engaged averaged 108.66 hours per athlete
Student-athletes logged a total of 3,594 hours of community service
32 student-athletes completed 20+ hours of community service
20,898 people were touched by our community service program and tours
Student-athletes participated in over 150 different community service events
Solid Orange Squad had 62 active members this year
In total, SOS completed 742.25 hours of service
27 SOS members completed 10+ hours of community service with Solid Orange Squad
SOS visited 69 elementary and middle schools this year
The top teams in total service hours were:
Football: 968.5 hours
Women's Swimming & Diving: 640.75 hours
Rowing: 534.5 hours
Men's Swimming & Diving: 232 hours
Women's Soccer: 226.5 hours
The top five teams in service hours per team member were:
Women's Swimming & Diving: 19.42 hours/athlete
Volleyball: 12.85 hours/athlete
Women's Soccer: 9.85 hours/athlete
Women's Cross Country: 9.46 hours/athlete
Football: 9.31 hours/athlete
