Rick Aronberg was a four-time All-American, a four-time All-ACC selection and a four-time ACC Champion in the 1650 freestyle from 1986-1989. Aronberg was also a two-time ACC Champion in the 500 free. He holds Clemson records in the 500, 1000 and 1650 free events. He was an Olympic Trail Qualifier in the 400, 800 and 1500m freestyle. At the 1985 Maccabiah Games, Aronberg won five gold medals and one bronze medal. At the 1989 Maccabiah Games, he won five gold medals and one silver medal, where he surpassed Mark Spitz as the all-time medal winner at the Maccabiah Games.
