CLEMSON, SC - Clemson track & field travel to a pair of meets for the final weekend of the regular season, the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta and the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville. The GT Invite will be held at the George C. Griffin Track, while the Virginia Challenge will be held at Lannigan Field.

Several events are scheduled for Friday at both venues, while a full day of action is in store at both for Saturday. The complete list of Clemson entries can be found on the attached PDF file.

Clemson's men and women are both ranked again this week according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Tiger women were ranked 11th for the fourth straight week, and for the 36th consecutive outdoor national rankings dating to 2010. Clemson's men, who debuted two weeks ago at No. 14, checked in at the 25th spot on Tuesday.

The Tigers will be without the services of eight student-athletes who are set to receive undergraduate degrees from Clemson at the commencement ceremonies on Friday. Graduating from the men's team will be Marcus Maxey, Ty McCormack, Will Robinson and Cory Thalheimer. From the women's team, Kate Borowicz, Jasmine Edgerson, Stormy Kendrick and Brittney Waller are scheduled to graduate.

This weekend's meet will serve as the final opportunity for several Tigers to qualify for the 48 spots guaranteed to individuals within the East Region. The top 48 individuals and 24 relays move on to the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Greensboro, NC from May 23-25. The men's team currently has 20 qualifiers over 13 different events, plus the 4x100 relay. The Tiger women have 21 qualifiers across 11 different events, plus both relays. The women's 4x4 will be the only relay in action this weekend, at Georgia Tech.

Natalie Anthony is the closest competitor on the outside looking in heading into the weekend. The Randolph, NJ native will compete in the 5K at the University of Virginia, hoping to improve on her time of 16:25.05. She is currently 49th in the East in the event. Aaron Ramirez, just inside the cutoff point in the men's 800, will also compete at UVA in hopes of securing a higher seed.

Whitney Fountain will also head to UVA with the Tiger distance group to compete in the heptathlon Friday and Saturday. The ACC Outdoor Champion has a season-best 5,094 points, but would need to add close to 500 to her total to solidify a spot in the national field in June.

Both meets will be available online via live results. The Virginia Challenge will be updated at FlashResults.com, while the GT Invitational live results can be found at DeltaTiming.com.
