CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s tennis team opens its fall 2016 campaign this weekend, Sept. 23-25, at the Furman Fall Classic in Greenville, S.C. This weekend’s tournament is the first of six the Tigers are slated to compete in this fall.
After Furman, select Tigers head to Pacific Palisades, Calif. on Oct. 1-5 for the prequalification and qualification rounds of the Riviera All-American, with hopes of earning a spot in the main draw of the tournament, held Oct. 6-9.
The Tigers have two tournaments scheduled for the end of October, the ITA Carolina Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Oct. 20-24, followed by the Robert Alison Fall Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Oct. 28-30. Winners from the Riviera All-American and the ITA Carolina Regional can secure a bid to the ITA Indoor Individual Championships in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. on Nov. 3-6.
The final fall tournament on the Clemson schedule is the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Tennis Classic in Sarasota, Fla. on Nov. 4-6.
