Clemson Set to Face Duke in ACC Second Round Thursday in Cary, N.C.

Clemson Notes:

  • The Tigers finished the ACC regular season with a 5-2 loss to No. 26 Notre Dame on April 22 at the AU Tennis Center.
  • Alex Favrot is ranked 73rd according to the ITA poll released on April 24. The senior from Lyon, France is 14-14 overall this season and has played 17 of his dual matches at No. 1 singles, and has defeated four nationally-ranked opponents.  
  • The French duo of Favrot and Baudry are ranked 66th nationally in doubles. The pair is 12-8 overall, 8-7 in dual matches and are 4-4 in ACC dual matches.
  • Simon Baudry leads the team in overall wins, dual match wins and ACC wins, with a 21-9 overall record, a 14-7 in dual matches and a 7-4 ledger in conference play.
  • Freshman Yizhou Liu has won five consecutive matches, dating back to April 6.  
  • Liu and Sam Edwards have teamed up to form the Tigers’ No. 2 doubles team, and the two are to 10-8 in dual matches this season, including a big win over Florida State’s 35th ranked team of Aziz Dougaz and Guy Iradukunda on Mar. 2.
