The Tigers return to College Station, Texas, for the first time since the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, where Chris McBride, Jeffrey Green and Grace Barnett concluded their indoor seasons as Second Team All-Americans. The Aggies are set to again host this year’s NCAA Indoor Championships.
Clemson is coming off an impressive performance at the Orange & Purple Classic which was highlighted by junior middle distance runner John Lewis, who shattered the program and facility record in the 1,000m with a time of 2:21.96, besting Terrance Harrington’s 1985 Clemson record of 2:22.42. For his performance, Lewis was named the ACC’s Track Performer of the Week. The Tigers posted five first-place finishes at last week’s home meet.
