AuDrey Dempsey Branch has been with the Student Athlete Enrichment Program since January 2010. She is currently the Special Projects Coordinator. Dempsey Branch's responsibilities include the overall management and daily operation of the Class Check and Book Room Programs overseeing 12 student-workers and three part-time staff members. In addition, she has been charged with maintaining the weekly Provost report and producing the final grade report each semester, serves as a team facilitator for the Summer Immersion program, works with Orientation for incoming student-athletes, mentoring student-athletes on an individual basis, conducting weekly meetings, and collaborates with various advisors in providing personal assistance to student-athletes, assisting with advising, class scheduling and registration, and ensuring that all student-athletes are maintaining satisfactory progress toward their degree while maintaining compliance with the NCAA Rules and Regulations.
Dempsey Branch joined the staff after a serving as a NCAA Division I Track and Field Coach at various universities including schools in the SEC, ACC, and Big East. Under her tutelage she had a myriad of conference champions, regional and national qualifiers, as well as All-Americans. Not a stranger to athletics, Dempsey Branch was a three -time Track and Field ACC Champion and record holder, three time NCAA qualifier, and a 92 USA Olympic Trial qualifier while a student -athlete at Georgia Tech.
Dempsey Branch is an active member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), currently serving as the Life Skills Committee Chair.
Dempsey is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in 1997 and Masters in Counselor Education with a concentration in Student Affairs from Clemson University in 2012.
