2012: Senior

  • 4th on the team with 205 kills and 287 digs
  • Had double-figure kills in seven matches and double-figure digs 14 times (5 double-doubles)
  • Most outstanding performance came in win at Maryland when she tallied 17 kills and 14 digs (.366 hitting)
  • Also hit .444 (13-1-27) at Boston College
  • Registered 10 kills, a career-high four aces, 18 digs, and three blocks in win over Duke
  • An excellent passer, had just 29 errors in 687 service receptions (.958 success)

2011: Junior

  • Yaz recorded a career-high 23 kills against Florida State in just four sets on Friday and hit .367, and added another 20 against Miami in Clemson's upset of the Hurricanes. She also had 12 and 13 digs respectively, giving her 13 double-doubles this season. For the weekend, the Istanbul, Turkey, native averaged 4.78 kills and 2.78 digs per set, and hit .324 from the outside.
  • Had .967 receiving percentage with only 23 errors in 700 attempts- the highest on the team
  • Led the team with 26 aces for the season

2010 - Sophomore

Posted a breakout season as an outside hitter, starting all 31 matches and competing for all-conference honors

  • Played as an outside hitter, ranking second among all ACC players with 19 double-doubles, including 16 in ACC play
  • Was second on the team with 379 kills and digs with 415, while leading the team with 1,098 attempts
  • Improved kills average from 0.23 per set as a freshman to 3.18 as a sophomore.
  • Had double-digit kills in 19 of final 20 matches
  • Posted 15 or more digs in 12 matches
  • Led Clemson with 30 service aces on the season
  • Was named to the Big Orange Bash All-Tournament Team
  • Named Carolina Challenge Tournament MVP after registering 44 kills and 42 digs in three three-set wins
  • Fell a dig short of her first 20-20 match with 20 kills and 19 digs against Wake Forest
  • Tallied and incredible 31 digs against Miami, while also registering 11 kills
  • For the season, averaged 3.40 kills and 3.95 digs per set against NCAA Tournament teams

2009 - Freshman

  • Freshman appeared in 112 sets, primarily as a server at the beginning of the year, and then playing outside late in the season
  • Had 25 service aces, second on the team, in 434 serves
  • Had career-best eight kills, four assists, and nine digs against North Carolina
  • Posted six kills in 16 attempts against Georgia Tech
  • Had seven kills and four digs in first round start in the NCAA tournament against #17 ranked Oregon

Before Clemson

  • Talented player from Istanbul, Turkey with an impressive resume
  • Participated in the Turkish Youth National Team from 2005-07 and the Turkish Junior National Team from 2007-08
  • Finished third at the 2008 European Junior Women's Championships in Italy
  • In 2007, led the Turkish Youth National Team to a runner-up finish at the FIVB Youth Girls World Championships in Mexico, which was the first time a Turkish national team had played in the finals of a world championship in any sport
  • Team also won the Black Sea Games, placed third at the Olympic Youth Festival in Serbia and fifth at the European Youth Girls Championships in the Czech Republic
  • Led her high school to the Turkish National High School Championship titles in 2007-08 and 2008-09

  • High school team placed second in 2006-07 and third in 2005-06 at the Turkish championships
