Fall 2016: Played in just two tournaments in the fall as he recovered from summer shoulder injury…those were the last two events of the fall and he looks to be healthy entering his final semester of eligibility…had 72.67 stroke average for his six rounds, he had one round in the 60s, two rounds under par and three rounds at par or better…shot three-over-par 219 at Golf Club of Georgia Classic, he finished with a strong 70 to finish 33rd individually….he actually tied for first among Clemson golfers at that event….shot 217, four-over-par, at Ka’anapali Classic, but had final round 68 after opening round 77….finished 50th at that event…obviously pleased with 69.0 stroke average in his two final rounds…had 11 birdies at Golf Club of Georgia and 12 in Hawaii for 23 birdies in the two events…had a solid 4.60 stroke average on par five holes…hit fairways 70 percent of the time and greens in regulation 66 percent…averaged just 30.83 putts per round…went to high school with Carson Young at Pendleton High, just 10 miles from Clemson...Langdale and Young were born just two days apart in the same hospital...missed the entire fall of 2014 with shoulder problem and other ailments, but  returned to the lineup in the spring and made a big difference for the Tigers…joined D.J. Trahan, Kyle Stanley, Richard Coughlan, Jonathan Byrd and Lucas Glover as Clemson freshmen who won a tournament in the last 22 years…Doc Redman joined the group on fall of 2016...showed he could compete with the college players when he won the Azalea Amateur in March 2014….three-time Anderson Independent Area Player of the Year in high school…he won the award as a freshman, sophomore and junior and Clemson’s  Carson Young won as a senior…at the age of 16 already had five hole –in-one-shots…made his first one at Wescott Plantation in Charleston at the age of 11…had two more when he was 13 and 14, one at Saluda Valley and one at Pebble Creek…made one at Sage Valley in practice round with Cody Proveaux…disciple of the late Harvey Brock, longtime pro at nearby Boscobel Country Club…Clemson team practices at Boscobel, so Langdale has been familiar with the Clemson program for many years prior to his enrollment.

In 2015-16: Second on the Clemson team in stroke average in 2015-16 with 72.21 figure ... also second to Stephen Behr in  top 10s and rounds in the 60s...tied for team lead in under par rounds...honorable mention All-American according to the Golf Coaches Association...named All-Regional by the same organization...first-team All-ACC... shot 75 or better in 28 of the 33 rounds this year....just 20-over-par for 33 rounds this season.....tied for Clemson’s  best player at the ACC Tournament with a fourth-place finish and second best player at the NCAA Regional at Stillwater, Okla.  with a 15th place...could have had a top five finish if he did not injure a shoulder coming down the stretch in final round...shoulder injury kept him off the course in summer of 2016.. finished in top 15 in five of six tournaments at one stretch late in the season....shot a career best 67 at the Clemson Invitational first round in April...fsecond on the team in top 10 finishes with four, but all four top 10s are top three finishes...ranked 22nd in Golfweek/Sagarin ranking, best on the team, 45th in Golfstat...Langdale tied for second with Behr at the Carpet Classic, was second at Bandon Dunes and third at Clemson Invitational...another very consistent player, 26 of his 30 rounds were at 75 or better, and his score  counted 27 of 30 rounds...for career, score has counted in 67 of 76 rounds, a .882 percentage...best on the team in par four scoring at 4.02 and birdies with 104, he  averaged 30.08 putts per round, best among Tigers.

Summer 2015: Had strong summer with three top six finishes…had 10 rounds at 70 or better in 18 rounds for the summer…started with a fifth-place at the Palmetto Amateur June 10-13 with a 279 score, one-under-par…had rounds of 66-68-69-76 for a fifth-place finish…followed that up with second-place finish at the Rice Planters with an 18-under-par 270 score…had rounds of 68-65-67-70…that gave him six rounds in the 60s for his first eight rounds of the summer…finished at four-over-par 288 at the Southern Amateur (58th), then shot 146 at his US Amateur qualifier and finished 22nd…finished the summer with strong  performance at South Carolina Amateur….Clemson’s top performer with sixth-place finish after one-under-par 287 at Chanticleer Country club in Greenville…had consistent rounds of 73-70-73-71.

In 2014-15:  Sat out the fall recovering from shoulder injury….came back to record 72.67 stroke average in six events in the spring to rank fifth on the team in stroke average for the year…had eight rounds at par or better among his 18 rounds…finished 55th at Palmetto, but did have a second round 69 that gave Larry Penley hope that he was coming back to normal….had consistent tournament at Yale with three straight 72s to finish at +6 and 16th place…shot three under par 213 at ACC Tournament, including final round 69 that was best of the day among Clemson golfers…his play helped Clemson get into a playoff with Georgia Tech…had outstanding performance at NCAA Regional in Chapel Hill, he was five under par 211 after rounds of 72-68-71….that 68 was career best as a Tiger…finished seventh overall with that 211 score, he had a double bogey on 17th hole or he would have finished even higher…was tied for the lead with Maverick McNealy of Stanford, nation’s top player, with four holes left….had a lot of pressure on him that last day as he was the final Clemson player on the course…Tigers entered that last round in sixth place, so they had to make some progress on the last day and they did….Clemson's best player at NCAA National at Concession with 223 score, he finished 59th...had opening round 72, the only Tiger to shoot par for the three days...had final round 74, he was only Tiger to break 75 twice... shot 72 or better in nine of his last 12 rounds…had 72.7 stroke average for first round and 72.7 in final round…4.74 stroke average on par five holes, tied for second best on the team…his score  counted 13 of 18 rounds this year and 40-46 over two years…has hit fairways on drives 73 percent of the  time…had one eagle and 48 birdies for the year.

Summer 2014:  Played in Palmetto Amateur and had a solid #32 finish…had a 67 in the second round, his top round of the summer…also played in the Player’s Amateur,  US Amateur qualifier and the South Carolina amateur…started to develop some problems with his shoulder and that limited his play and his effectiveness over the summer.

In 2013-14:  Highlight of freshman year was winning the Cleveland Golf Intercollegiate with 210 score, even par…he was the only golfer in the 90-player field to shoot even par…had rounds of 69-69-72…Langdale won by one shot over Derek Bard of Virginia…both players were listed as their team’s number-four player entering the tournament…teamed with Carson Young to give Clemson one of the best freshman combinations in the nation…finished the 2013-14 season ranked #120 in final Golfweek/Sagarin ranking…started the year with 12th place finish at Carpet Classic after even par 216…also eighth at the Wolfpack and ninth at he ACC Tournament…first Clemson freshman with a top 10 at the ACC Tournament since Kyle Stanley in 2007…led the team in eagles with five, that is tied for the fifth most in a season in school history…only PGA Tour players D.J. Trahan and Lucas Glover have had more in a season…tied for team lead in top 10 finishes with three, all three were in the spring season…had four rounds in the 60s, all four were rounds of 69…his score counted 27 of 28 rounds…had 73.00 stroke average for his first rounds and 73.00 average overall for the year…second on team in stroke average on par four holes at 4.15…had 86 birdies to rank in a tie for third on the team…hit just .592 of fairways, but hit .660 greens in regulation…had 11 rounds at par or better, including five at par, second on the team.
