Summer 2015: Had strong summer with three top six finishes…had 10 rounds at 70 or better in 18 rounds for the summer…started with a fifth-place at the Palmetto Amateur June 10-13 with a 279 score, one-under-par…had rounds of 66-68-69-76 for a fifth-place finish…followed that up with second-place finish at the Rice Planters with an 18-under-par 270 score…had rounds of 68-65-67-70…that gave him six rounds in the 60s for his first eight rounds of the summer…finished at four-over-par 288 at the Southern Amateur (58th), then shot 146 at his US Amateur qualifier and finished 22nd…finished the summer with strong performance at South Carolina Amateur….Clemson’s top performer with sixth-place finish after one-under-par 287 at Chanticleer Country club in Greenville…had consistent rounds of 73-70-73-71.
In 2014-15: Sat out the fall recovering from shoulder injury….came back to record 72.67 stroke average in six events in the spring to rank fifth on the team in stroke average for the year…had eight rounds at par or better among his 18 rounds…finished 55th at Palmetto, but did have a second round 69 that gave Larry Penley hope that he was coming back to normal….had consistent tournament at Yale with three straight 72s to finish at +6 and 16th place…shot three under par 213 at ACC Tournament, including final round 69 that was best of the day among Clemson golfers…his play helped Clemson get into a playoff with Georgia Tech…had outstanding performance at NCAA Regional in Chapel Hill, he was five under par 211 after rounds of 72-68-71….that 68 was career best as a Tiger…finished seventh overall with that 211 score, he had a double bogey on 17th hole or he would have finished even higher…was tied for the lead with Maverick McNealy of Stanford, nation’s top player, with four holes left….had a lot of pressure on him that last day as he was the final Clemson player on the course…Tigers entered that last round in sixth place, so they had to make some progress on the last day and they did….Clemson's best player at NCAA National at Concession with 223 score, he finished 59th...had opening round 72, the only Tiger to shoot par for the three days...had final round 74, he was only Tiger to break 75 twice... shot 72 or better in nine of his last 12 rounds…had 72.7 stroke average for first round and 72.7 in final round…4.74 stroke average on par five holes, tied for second best on the team…his score counted 13 of 18 rounds this year and 40-46 over two years…has hit fairways on drives 73 percent of the time…had one eagle and 48 birdies for the year….has six career eagles.
Summer 2014: Played in Palmetto Amateur and had a solid #32 finish…had a 67 in the second round, his top round of the summer…also played in the Player’s Amateur, US Amateur qualifier and the South Carolina amateur…started to develop some problems with his shoulder and that limited his play and his effectiveness over the summer.
In 2013-14: Highlight of freshman year was winning the Cleveland Golf Intercollegiate with 210 score, even par…he was the only golfer in the 90-player field to shoot even par…had rounds of 69-69-72…Langdale won by one shot over Derek Bard of Virginia…both players were listed as their team’s number-four player entering the tournament…teamed with Carson Young to give Clemson one of the best freshman combinations in the nation…finished the 2013-14 season ranked #120 in final Golfweek/Sagarin ranking…started the year with 12th place finish at Carpet Classic after even par 216…also eighth at the Wolfpack and ninth at he ACC Tournament…first Clemson freshman with a top 10 at the ACC Tournament since Kyle Stanley in 2007…led the team in eagles with five, that is tied for the fifth most in a season in school history…only PGA Tour players D.J. Trahan and Lucas Glover have had more in a season…tied for team lead in top 10 finishes with three, all three were in the spring season…had four rounds in the 60s, all four were rounds of 69…his score counted 27 of 28 rounds…had 73.00 stroke average for his first rounds and 73.00 average overall for the year…second on team in stroke average on par four holes at 4.15…had 86 birdies to rank in a tie for third on the team…hit just .592 of fairways, but hit .660 greens in regulation…had 11 rounds at par or better, including five at par, second on the team.
Summer 2013: Won the Azalea Amateur on March 21-22, 2013 with scores of 66-69 for a seven-under par 135 total…finished 10th at the South Carolina Amateur at the conclusion of the summer with a 283 score, one under par…had rounds of 67-71-73-72runner-up at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley to Carson Young…event had 54 of the top junior players in the world…gave Clemson signee class two top 10 finishes as Young won the event…finished fifth at his US Amateur qualifier with a 139 total, three under par….also played in the Palmetto Amateur, the Northeast Amateur and the Players Amateur so he saw some strong competition.
High School: Lettered six years….made all-region six years in a row….made state tournament all six years, state runner each of his last four years, two years to current Clemson junior Cody Proveaux and two years to current Tiger classmate Carson Young…played for Tim Wood at Pendleton High School….helped team to State Championship in 2012 and runner-up position in 2013…finished in the top 15 at the Festival of Flowers three years in a row, he won the tournament in 2011.
