At Clemson:  Had a strong Fall of 2012 with the second best stroke average on the team at 72.92...one of the most highly regarded players to come to Clemson in recent years...two-time winner of the Jay Haas Award as the top junior in South Carolina...first-two-time winner since Kyle Thompson in 1995-96...two-time AJGA All-American (first-team in 2011 and second team in 2010...National Junior Player of the Year by the AJGA in 2011...he won the Junior PGA that year...already has a PGA Tour event under his belt he played in the 2012 St. Jude Classic in Memphis and had rounds of 75-71, he missed the cut by three shots...among the players he defeated was US Open Champion Graeme McDowell...comes to Clemson from Pelion High School, the same school that sent Clemson All-American center Dalton Freeman to Clemson...Freeman and Proveaux were actually on the same high school golf team at Pelion when Proveaux was in the eighth grade.

Fall 2012:  Had a strong fall with a 72.92 stroke average, second best on the team...played in all four tournaments and scored at 75 or better in 11 of the 12 rounds, best on the team...also had five rounds at par or better, best on the team...had his best round at the Illini Invitational when he scored a 69  in the final round...his best performance was a seventh-place finish at the US Collegiate in Alpharetta where he shot a 217 after consistent rounds of 72-73-72...also finished 12th at the Fighting Illini Classic and 19th at the Jerry Pate...had the best score of the day in four of his 12 rounds and was Clemson's top performer at the US Collegiate by six shots...had a 72.25 stroke average in the first round, best on he team...had 39 birdies in the fall, best on the team...his score counted in 11 of 12 rounds...has a #76 Sagarin ranking entering the Spring of 2013...averaged 28.33 putts per round, best on the team.

Summer 2012:  Had many highlights as a junior player and in other national amateur tournaments...won the South Carolina Amateur just two weeks before he enrolled at Clemson with a 13-under-par 267 score at the Country Club of Spartanburg August 2-5...that 267 score was the second lowest gross score in the 81-year history of the event...the only score that is better is a 266 by former Clemson All-American Lucas Glover in 1999...Proveaux's 13-under par score was also one of the lowest figures vs. par in the history of the event...had rounds of 69-65-65-68 in defeating Caleb Sturgeon by three shots...finished tied for fifth at his US Amateur qualifier July 30-31 with a 142 score...was alternate for the US Amateur...had an eighth-place finish at the Players Amateur in Bluffton, SC when he had a 215 score...also competed in Jones Cup, Northeast Amateur and Porter Cup...finished the year ranked 16th among juniors...one of his highlights of the summer took place on July 27 when he sank a putt that allowed the East team to retain the Wyndham Cup at Bay Hill in Orlando...he needed to make an eight-foot par save to halve his match with Brad Dalke...he also defeated Dalke in a crucial match the previous year to help the East team win for the first time in six years...one of three recipients of the Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award, which is presented to promising juniors who not only perform well on the course, but shine academically and in the community.

Summer 2011:  Named the AJGA Rolex Junior Golfer of the year for 2011...first-team AJGA Rolex All-American...highlight of the summer was his victory at the 36th Junior PGA Championship at Sycamore Golf Club in Fort Wayne, IN...made a 15-foot putt from the fringe for birdie on the 18th hole to win the tournament...shot six under par for the event...runner up at the Bobby Chapman and the HP Boys Championship...won SCJGA Jimmy Self Festival of Flowers...top ranked player on the Heritage Classic Foundation with 1899 points.

Summer 2010:  Won the Polo Golf Junior Classic in 2010 for his first AJGA victory...won championship match over Michael Kim of Del mar, CA 4&3...second-team AJGA Rolex All-American...won six matches to win the championship, he never trailed from the quarterfinal through the final...also had three runner-up finishes at AJGA events that year and 13 top 10s...won the Jay Haas Award as the top junior player in the state of South Carolina.

In High School:  A six-time letterman at Pelion High School...played on that team with his brother, Caleb, the last two years played under coach Parrish Deans...Caleb and Cody actually tied for third at the 2012 High School League Championship this year...won the state championship at the 2A level in 2010 and 2011, he was co-medalist then lost in a playoff in 2009...finished in a tie for third in 2012...his father, Charles, has been his coach and his brother Caleb a frequent caddy, including at the FedEx St. Jude Classic in June of 2012...first attended Clemson golf camp when he was 10 years old...born April 6, 1994.
