Overview:  Sophomore who had strong impact on Clemson's 2011-12 team...played in five of the 11 events and had solid 74.80 stroke average...another outstanding player from Easley, the same area that sent Corbin Mills to Clemson...outstanding student who had a 4.0 in his first semester...on pace to be a Junior academically by the end of the Spring 2012 semester...grandson of former Furman football coach Jimmy Satterfield...named to the Clemson Academic honor roll for the 2011-12 academic year.

Fall 2012:  Did not play in the fall.

Summer 2012:  Had active summer, he competed in the Monroe and Rice Planters national tournaments...finished 68th at Monroe, but had 68 in the third round...missed cut at the Rice Planters, but had a 68 in the final round there...10th at his South Carolina Amateur qualifier.

2011-12: Freshman who came on to play in the last two events of the fall, then in three more events in the spring...saw his score count in all six of his rounds in the fall and nine of 12 for the year...had a second round 70 at the Ridges in the Bank of Tennessee to highlight his fall...helped Clemson to seven-under-par score of 281 that day...tied for third among Clemson golfers at that tournament and finished in 30th place overall...had a 224 score for the 54 holes...bettered that at the US Collegiate where he shot 222 for the 54 holes, six over par...fourth among Tigers in that tournament...had 38 birdies for the year and had a 3.13 scoring average on par three holes, best on the team...had 73.0 scoring average in the final round, fourth on the team...had the best score of the day twice...finished his season off with a 70 at the Woodlands in April, tying for the best round of he day by a Clemson golfer and helping Tigers to an even par scoring day.

Prior to Clemson:  Outstanding player at Easley High School in Easley, SC...ranked as high as third in the South Carolina Heritage Junior rankings during his career at Easley High...played for Dave Giffin at Easley High School...won the Upstate Junior Classic in 2010 and also had second-place finishes at the George Holliday, the SCJA Junior Championship and the CGA South Carolina Match Play Championship...finished sixth at the CGA Junior Championship...only player in 2010-2011 to make all of the following four events: the Carolinas-Virginias matches, the SC-GA Cup matches, the Can-Am matches and the North-South All star match...led one of the best high school teams in the state, finished 2nd, third twice, and fourth as a team during the 2011 season...committed to Clemson as a sophomore in high school.

Personal:  Born April 16, 1993...Garrett is the grandson of Jimmy Satterfield, who coached Furman to the Division I-AA National Football Championship in 1988...son of Todd and Sydney Garrett...majoring in financial management.
