Clemson Hosts Miami Sunday at 11 AM at AU Tennis Center

NOTE: First serve between Clemson and Miami is now set for 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 4. This is a change from the originally announced start time of 10 a.m.

Clemson Notes:

  • The Tigers (5-5, 1-2 ACC) are coming off of a 6-1 loss to No. 23 Florida State in Peachtree Corners, Ga. on Friday, March 2. Marie-Alexandre Leduc earned the lone point for Clemson with a 7-6(5), 1-6, 1-0(11) win at No. 1 singles.
  • Clemson is currently ranked 31st nationally, according to the ITA team rankings that were released on Feb. 27.
  • Leduc is ranked 21st in the nation in singles. She has a 4-2 record and has played all six of her dual matches at the No. 1 singles position.
  • Junior Fernanda Navarro was named ACC Player of the Week on Feb. 20, for her performances against Wake Forest and UT Chattanooga the week of Feb. 12-18.
  • Senior Daniela Ruiz was named a recipient of the ACC’s Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship as announced by the conference office on Feb. 28.
  • Navarro and Ruiz paired up at No. 3 doubles to earn a 6-3 win over the Seminoles on Friday.
