COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Clemson’s Brooke Bailey, Kaylin Korte and Madi Howell have been invited to the United State’s Women’s National Team Open Tryouts. The tryouts will be held March 2-4 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“We are ecstatic for Brooke, Kaylin and Madi to attend the national team tryout,” said Clemson head coach Michaela Franklin. “It's an amazing opportunity to compete at a high level which each of them is capable of doing. It will be a positive experience and I know they will be fantastic representatives of our program.”
Korte, a sophomore outside hitter, was named an All-ACC Second Team representative after leading the team and ranking ninth in the conference in kills per set (3.36). Howell led the team in digs per set (3.49), and became the second freshman in Clemson history to record 373 digs. Bailey is a transfer outside hitter from Ohio State, who is set to debut as a Tiger this fall.
“Thank you to our administration for understanding the significance of allowing our ladies to participate in such an elite experience. It is essential as we continue to take strides in propelling our program forward.”
