Quattlebaum, Ward Sweep ACC Weekly Honors

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson’s James Quattlebaum has been named the ACC Men’s Cross Country Performer of the Week, while teammate John Ward was tabbed the ACC Men’s Cross Country Freshman of the Week for their performances at the Furman Invitational Saturday.


Quattlebaum, a junior, won the men’s 8K race in Greenville, S.C., after posting a leading time of 23:50.40.


Ward was the top freshman and second-place finisher for the Tigers Saturday. His time of 25:40.50 was good for 18th overall in a race that saw 175 competitors.


Up next, The Tigers will head Charlottesville, Va., for the annual Panorama Farms Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 23.
