CLEMSON, SC - Clemson defensive end Vic Beasley and wide receiver Sammy Watkins were both named second-team All-Americans by the Associated Press on Tuesday.  It is the first time Beasley has made an Associated Press All-America team, while it is the second time for Watkins.

The Clemson junior who was a Biletnikoff finalist was a first-team Associated Press All-American in 2011 as an all-purpose player.  Watkins was just the fourth true freshman to make the AP first team at the time.

Beasley was named a first-team All-American by CBS Sports and Watkins was named to the second team on Tuesday.  Sports Illustrated also announced its All-America teams and Beasley was first team by that publication.  Beasley has now been ranked as a first-team All-American by seven different services.

Watkins and Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd were both named honorable mention All-Americans by Sports Illustrated on Tuesday.

Beasley finished the regular season with 12 sacks, tied for third in the nation, and had 19 tackles for loss, seventh best in the nation. Watkins has 85 receptions for 1237 yards and 10 touchdowns, among the top 15 in the nation in all three categories.  Boyd ranks seventh in the nation in passing efficiency and has led the Clemson offense that has averaged 40.2 points and 502 yards of total offense per game.
