Thomas McNamara Honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference

GREENSBORO, NC – Clemson midfielder Thomas McNamara and Maryland forward Patrick Mullins have been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Co-Players of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

McNamara, a graduate student from West Nyack, N.Y., scored a goal to help the 17th-ranked Tigers to a 2-1 upset win over No. 12 North Carolina on Oct. 8. On Friday, he assisted on Clemson’s lone goal in a 1-1 tie with No. 15 Wake Forest. McNamara is Clemson’s leading scorer this season with six goals and six assists for 18 points.
 
Clemson will play host to Furman tonight (October 15) and Pittsburgh on Friday (October 18) at Historic Riggs Field.
