Solid Orange Squad 2012-13 Year-End Report

The Clemson Community Relations department is pleased to announce the release of its year-end report for 2012-13.  The Solid Orange Squad concluded the academic year with another great year of community service and outreach.  The 235 members performed an outstanding 1,384 hours of service at the various Solid Orange Squad events.  With valuable events like the Be a T.I.G.E.R! Field Day and Boy Scout Day, the Clemson student-athletes have been able to reach thousands of kids.  Be a T.I.G.E.R! has now been a successful character education program for seven years.

Consider these facts about 2012-13:

  • 476 student-athletes participated in at least one event
  • Student-athletes participated in over 130 different community events
  • 21,679 people were touched by our program
  • Overall, student-athletes logged 4,468 hours of service in Clemson Counts
