Clemson vs. Furman Postgame Notes

Team Notes
* Today's attendance was 81,500, which is an attendance record for a game against an FCS opponent. The previous attendance record for a game against an FCS opponent was 80,625 against Furman in 1988. In fact, the four highest attendance games against FCS opponents in Clemson history have all come against Furman.

* With the win today, Clemson has now won 30 consecutive games against Furman dating back to 1937. Clemson is now 42-10-2 all-time against Furman with 24-2 record in games at Clemson and a 19-0 record at Memorial Stadium.

* Clemson has now won 51 straight games against current Southern Conference teams. The Tigers are also now 26-0 all-time against FCS opponents since the NCAA formed the division was formed in 1978.

* Clemson's defense held Furman to 2-for-14 (.143) on third-down conversions in today's game. Opposing teams are just 9-for-41 (.220) on third-down conversions against the Tigers this season.

* Clemson's 41 points in today's game are the most points against a Southern Conference team since the Tigers scored 45 points against the Citadel in 2008.

* Clemson had three rushing touchdowns in today's game. That is most rushing touchdowns in a game since the Tigers had three against Miami (FL) in 2010.

* Clemson's defense allowed just seven points in today's game. That is the fewest points allowed by the Tigers since they went to Virginia Tech last season and held the Hokies to three points on October 1. It is the fewest points allowed by Clemson in a home game since 2010 when the Tigers held Maryland to seven points.

Individual Notes
* Tajh Boyd was 20-for-29 passing for 310 yards and two touchdowns. With those two touchdown passes, Boyd moves into sole possession of second place on the Clemson career passing touchdowns list with 43 career touchdown passes. He now trails only Charlie Whitehurst (49) in career touchdown passes.

* With his 310 passing yards, Boyd now has five career 300+ yard passing games. Charlie Whitehurst is only player in Clemson history to have more with eight career 300+ yard passing games. His 310 passing yards are the most for Boyd since he had 343 passing yards against Wake Forest last season.

* Boyd now has 4,904 career passing yards, putting him fifth all-time in Clemson history.

* Rashard Hall intercepted his second pass of the season and 12th of his career in today's game. His 12 interceptions puts him into a tie for sixth place in school history for career interceptions. He also led Clemson in tackles with nine.

* Andre Ellington had 15 carries for 59 yards and two touchdowns. He has now had multiple rushing touchdowns in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.

* Ellington has four rushing touchdowns on the season and 29 for his career, moving him into sixth place on the Tigers' list of career leaders. Fred Cone is next ahead of him with 30 from 1948-50.

* DeAndre Hopkins had seven receptions for 95 receiving yards in today's game. He leads the Tigers in receiving this season with 26 receptions for 319 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

* Sammy Watkins recorded the first rushing touchdown of his career on a 58-yard run, the longest rush of his career, on the first play of the second quarter. He finished the game with four receptions for 52 receiving yards.

* Chandler Catanzaro made two field goals in the first half to tie the Clemson record of consecutive field goals made with 14. He is tied with Obed Ariri who made 14 in a row in 1980 and set a national record at the time. Catanzaro has made all six field goals that he has attempted this season.

* Tony Steward had a career-high seven tackles in today's game.

* Quandon Christian recorded his first interception of the season and the second of his career in the third quarter. He also recorded six tackles.

* Martavis Bryant had a 39-yard reception for a touchdown. He has scored touchdowns in back-to-back games now. In fact, Bryant has two receptions this season and both have gone for a touchdown.
