Rick Franzblau
Position: Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach
Rick Franzblau is in his second year as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. He is responsible for aiding the coordinator of Olympic Sports in the supervision of graduate assistants and volunteer interns. Franzblau is directly responsible for the track and field, cross country, golf and swimming and diving programs. Prior to becoming an assistant coach, Franzblau worked as a graduate assistant at Clemson where he worked with football and Olympic sports.

During his time at Clemson, Franzblau has worked with four ACC champion track and field squads. He has also worked with five individual NCAA champions, and two Olympians in track and field. In 2010, he worked with Clemson golfer Ben Martin, who participated in the prestigious Masters tournament. Franzblau also helped the 2010-11 men's swimming and diving team record their first top-25 finish in program history.

Franzblau graduated from Colgate University in 2006 with a degree in history. At Colgate, Franzblau spent three years as a student assistant strength coach after his football career was cut short due to injuries. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA.
