CLEMSON, S.C. - Led by the 1-2 punch of sprinters Reggie Lewis and Tevin Hester, Clemson track & field wrapped up a solid final day at the Texas Relays in Austin on Saturday. Lewis out-leaned Hester at the line to take the runner-up position in the 100 dash final, clocking a time of 10.15. It was Lewis' second-best career time, while Hester entered the top 10 of Clemson's all-time outdoor performance list in the eighth position with a time of 10.16.

The women's 4x100 relay took eighth place in its final Saturday, running a time of 45.76. Clemson followed with another eighth-place effort in the 4x4, posting a time of 3:36.42.

The high jump was a productive event in Texas. Mimi Land earned a sixth-place finish with a clearance of 5-10, while Torian Ware took seventh in the men's invitational with a jump of 7-0.5.

At the Raleigh Relays closer to home, Caroline Bond claimed fifth in the women's pole vault, as she cleared the bar at 12-3.5 - Clemson's lone top-five effort Saturday at Paul Derr Track.

The teams return to action April 4-5 in Gainesville, Fla., for the Florida Relays.
