ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Tevin Hester and Reggie Lewis posted fast times in the 60 dash Saturday to highlight Clemson track & field's efforts on the final day of the Cherry & Silver Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The two sprinters were part of nine top-10 individual and relay finishes Saturday for the Tiger teams.

Hester and Lewis both were on top of their game Saturday. One of the top sprint duos in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Hester matched his personal best in the final with a time of 6.64. He finished fourth. Lewis achieved a personal best 6.67 in the prelim and matched it in the final, as he claimed seventh place.

Whitney Fountain led a trio of females in the 60 dash, but missed qualifying for Saturday's final by a mere two spots. She posted a time of 7.59. In the seeded 400, Nia Fluker was 11th with a time of 55.76. Fluker then anchored the Tigers' 4x400 relay to a third-place effort in a time of 3:42.36. She was joined on the relay by Malayshia George, Nyjah Cousar and Fountain.

A quartet of females earned top-10 finishes Saturday in different jumps. Mimi Land was seventh in the triple jump (41'3") to open her 2014 season in that particular event, while freshman Anasterasia Terrell (41'1.75") also advanced to the final round and was ninth. Iana Amsterdam (40'11.75"), another freshman, was 10th. In the pole vault, graduate Lauren Terstappen was 10th place after clearing the bar at 12'8.5".
