CLEMSON, SC - All four of Clemson track & field's athletes that competed Friday on the first day of the Virginia Tech Challenge established season bests in their respective events at Rector Field House in Blacksburg. Whitney Fountain led the way with a runner-up finish in the 200 dash.

Fountain posted a season-best time of 24.38 to win her heat, second fastest overall Friday. In the women's 60 hurdles, a pair of freshmen both established new bests. Anasterasia Terrell ran 8.63 in the prelims, while Iana Amsterdam ran 8.64 in the final. Amsterdam took fifth place in the final round Friday. The final competitor Friday was Aaron Ramirez in the men's mile, where he posted a season-best 4:12.09 in a sixth-place effort.
