CLEMSON, SC - Just one week away from the ACC Indoor Championships in Clemson, the Tigers are sending a small group of student-athletes to Blacksburg, VA to compete on Friday and Saturday in the Virginia Tech Challenge. Clemson hopes to improve its seeding in both distance medley relays, as well as the women's 4x400 relay.

In addition to the relays, those slated to compete in individual events are Whitney Fountain in the 200, Nia Fluker and Nyjah Cousar in the 400, Iana Amsterdam and Anasterasia Terrell in the 60 hurdles, and Aaron Ramirez in the mile.

The action gets underway with the preliminary round for the 60 hurdles Friday at 5:20 p.m. Terrell owns the team's top time at 8.64, while Amsterdam has run 8.65 on multiple occasions. Ramirez follows in the mile at 6:30. His best effort was a time of 4:14.57 at Auburn earlier this winter.

The rest of the events are scheduled for Saturday. Fluker and Cousar both hope to improve on their season bests in the quarter mile at 1:25 p.m. The two will turn around a couple of hours later for the 4x4, which follows the two DMR races.

Clemson hosts the ACC Indoor Championships next week for the first time since 2007.
