DALLAS, TX - The Clemson women's basketball team is in Dallas, TX preparing for the Hoops for a Cure Classic tournament held at SMU. The Lady Tigers (0-3) open play on Friday against Montana State at 6:00 pm EST, and will play either SMU or SIU-Edwardsville on Saturday, depending on results of the games on the first day. All games will be played at Moody Coliseum, which recently re-opened after undergoing a major renovation.

Clemson will be playing its first game in the state of Texas since the 1995-96 season, when head coach Itoro Coleman was a freshman. The Tigers have a 12-6 all-time record in the state of Texas.

Clemson has played Montana State once, an 80-53 win in Provo, UT, to take the BYU Invitational in 1989. Clemson has never met SIU-Edwardsville or SMU in women's basketball.

Clemson enters the game allowing 62.7 points per game and blocking five shots per outing. Freshman Danaejah Grant leads Clemson at 11.3 points per game, while Jonquel Jones leads all players at 10.3 rebounds per game.

Nikki Dixon's 3.0 steals per contest lead the squad. Clemson's strength early this season has been getting to the line and converting. The Tigers are hitting .780 from the line, the third-best mark in the ACC. Quinyotta Pettaway, who comes in averaging 10.0 points per game, is 10-10 on the season, while Jones is 12-15 (.800).
