Clemson Will Play Host to Boston College in ACC Men's Soccer Quarterfinals Tuesday Night

CLEMSON, SC - The Clemson men's soccer team will play host to Boston College in the ACC Quarterfinal Round at Historic Riggs Field on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.  The winner of this match will advance to the ACC Semifinals in Germantown, MD on Friday, November 9.  Clemson is seeded fourth in this year's ACC Tournament, while Boston College is seeded fifth.  All quarterfinal matches are played at the respective campus sites of the top four seeds in the tournament.

Clemson has a 6-8-4 record overall and a 3-2-3 mark in league play.  Austin Savage leads the Tigers in scoring with eight goals and four assists for 20 points.  He is the first Tiger to have 20 or more points since the 2006 season when Dane Richards had 31 points.

Boston College has an 8-5-4 record overall this season.  The Eagles finished 3-2-3 in the ACC.  Charlie Rugg leads Boston College in scoring with five goals and four assists for 14 points.  Derrick Boateng has three goals and three assists for nine points.

This will be the 10th meeting between Clemson and Boston College on the soccer field.  The series is tied 3-3-3.  The two teams tied 0-0 in overtime at Boston College on October 13.  The series began in 2005.

Fans attending the match are reminded that the gates will open at 6:00 p.m.  The ticket prices for the tournament are $8 for Adults and $5 for Youth (ages 3-18).  T-shirts will be given away to the first 125 fans through the gates.

Clemson faculty and staff, along with their immediate families, may receive free admission at the gate by showing a valid Clemson University employee ID.  Clemson students may receive free admission at the gate by showing a valid Clemson University student ID.
