Triple E
The study hall program at Vickery Hall is called Triple E. The Student-Athlete Enrichment Programs’ comprehensive academic achievement plan embodies the concept of Engage, Enrich, and Empower (Triple E). Triple E’s mission is to actively engage all student-athletes academically, to positively enrich student-athletes’ learning experience, and to empower all student-athletes to become independent life-long learners armed with a Clemson University degree.
Engage
- Student-athletes will have opportunities to participate in an active learning environment.
- Student-athletes will meet with athletic academic advisors to articulate/develop weekly study plans.
- Student-athletes will be able to connect effective academic effort with achieving the ultimate goal of graduation.
Enrich
- Trained tutors and mentors will conduct sessions to enhance classroom learning and achievement.
- Mentors may be assigned by their athletic academic advisor to support classroom instruction.

Different Ways to Earn Hours:
Tutor/Mentor Appointments
When student-athletes have an appointment with a tutor or mentor, they
will report directly to the tutor/mentor. At the conclusion of the session
the tutor/mentor will report the time spent in the session along with the
progress that was made in the given subject on Tutor Trac or tutor form.
Please see the tutoring link on the home page for more information.
Weekly Advisor Appointments
For advisor meetings, the student-athlete will report directly to their
academic athletic advisor during their scheduled academic meeting time.
The advisor will document the time in Tutor Trac.
Monitored Independent Study
Student-athletes will report to the monitor in either rm. 201 or 226 to
check in. Students are checked in by giving their Tiger1 ID card
to the monitor on duty. When checking out they will report back to
the monitor to retrieve their Tiger1 ID card. The time spent in monitored
independent study will be calculated by the Tutor Trac system.
Approved Outside Events
Outside events must be approved prior to the date of the event (e.g. pre-approved
study groups, concerts, plays, and required events for class.). The
advisor will check student athlete’s syllabus and/or confer with
the professor. The advisor will submit the amount of time earned
for each event into Tutor Trac.
Group Meetings
Student athletes must submit assignment and names of group members to
their advisor prior to the date of the event for approval. The advisor
will check student athlete’s syllabus and/or confer with the professor.
The student will check in with the monitor in independent study to be given
a private room.
