Before Clemson: Played three seasons (2008,10,11) at The Citadel, where he hit .252 with 19 doubles, 10 triples, 18 homers, 68 RBIs, 107 runs, and 36 steals in 151 games (136 starts) under Head Coach Fred Jordan...hit .274 with eight doubles, five triples, six homers, 32 RBIs, 34 runs, and 14 steals in 53 games (49 starts) in 2011...had a team-season-long 18 game-hitting streak in 2011...hit .262 with nine doubles, four triples, 11 homers, 32 RBIs, 57 runs, and 18 steals in 63 games (63 starts) in 2010...All-Southern Conference Tournament selection in 2010...red-shirted in 2009...hit .171 with two doubles, one triple, one homer, four RBIs, 16 runs, and four steals in 35 games (24 starts) in 2008...graduated from The Citadel in May, 2011 with a degree in business administration...all-state and all-region in baseball, football, and basketball at Orangeburg Prep School...played in the SCISA Shrine Bowl as a quarterback and safety and was named defensive player-of-the-game...lettered four times in baseball, four times in football, four times in basketball, and one time in track at Orangeburg Prep School, where he was coached by Todd Layton.
