Katie Hill begins her tenth year as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Affairs and Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, she directs the business office staff responsible for all budgeting, capital financing, purchasing, travel, contracts and financial reporting, along with personnel matters. In addition, she is responsible for oversight of the sport support services of Strength and Conditioning, Sports Medicine, Equipment and Video Productions. She oversees and monitors Title IX compliance for the department.
For the nine years prior to her 2002 arrival at Clemson, Hill held virtually the same position at the University of Arkansas. Overall, Hill worked for 14 years at Arkansas. During the 10 years with the athletic department, she supervised the department's budgeting and finances and performed a variety of special projects including the financing and development of Bud Walton Arena, the Baum Stadium (baseball), and the expansion of the Randal-Tyson Indoor Track Facility and renovation of the Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium Project. The projects combined totaled over $175 million. She also was responsible for the administration of the ticket office and athletic training room. She is well-known for her expertise in business operations and contract matters.
Hill first joined the University of Arkansas in 1988 when the Razorback Scholarship Fund moved off campus to become the Razorback Foundation, Inc. Hill performed an important start-up role in the foundation, serving as its corporate treasurer and operations manager.
Hill has served on a variety of NCAA task forces for revision of financial reporting of intercollegiate athletics and is currently a member of the NCAA association-wide Research Committee as well as the ACC Financial Committee. Hill previously served on the University's Conflict of Interest Task Force and currently serves on the University Assessment Committee.
