Placed second at the ACC Indoor Championships and qualified for the NCAA Championships with a jump of 7'1", his season-best?also second at Arkansas' Tyson Invitational with a high jump of 7' 1/2"?cleared 6'10 3/4" indoors at the Gator Invitational?cleared 7' 1/4" outdoors at the Clemson Invitational to set outdoor personal best and win the event?finished second in the Clemson Relays with jump of 6'9"?placed third in high jump at the ACC Outdoor Championships, clearing 6'8 3/4". 1998-99: Won the ACC Indoor Championship with a high jump of 7'1 1/2", his best performance of the season...also won the event at the Clemson Opener and the Virginia Tech Invitational indoors...cleared 6'11" or better at four different meets indoors...won the ACC Outdoor Championship with a jump of 7'1", his best jump of the outdoor season...also won the event at the Clemson Relays...placed second with a jump of 6'9" at the Penn Relays.

Danville Area High School:
Coached by Barry Seidel...jumped 6'8" to win the District IV AA high jump competition, setting a new district record...is a two time District IV champion in the high jump...jumped 6'10" in the high jump to win Pennsylvania Silver Medal...holds the Danville Area school record in the high jump with a mark of 6'10".
