Coach Info:
Position: Director of Operations
Hometown: Fayetteville, NC
Kanetra Queen is entering her eighth season as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations at Clemson, but the Fayetteville, NC native has been a fixture around the Lady Tiger program since 2000.

Queen was a four-year letterwinner from 2000-04 and followed her playing career with a one-year stint as the program's graduate assistant. She assumed her current position after the 2005 season and has remained in her post for all five seasons under Head Coach Cristy McKinney, and stayed on Itoro Coleman's staff in 2010-11.

Queen's lengthy list of responsibilities includes organizing team travel arrangements and assisting with the team's budget. She also coordinates activities for the team's Orange Brigade fan group, while supervising the team's student managers and game-day operations.

Furthermore, Queen manages housing arrangements for the student-athletes, oversees the admissions process for incoming freshman and handles other administrative duties required of a Division I basketball program.

She serves as a liaison between the women's basketball program and the athletic department's academic advising offices, compliance personnel and equipment department.

Queen is also actively involved in the Lady Tiger Basketball Summer Camps. She is responsible for camper registration to include insurance, housing and meals for all campers.

In addition to her internal duties, Queen will be serving as color analyst on Lady Tiger broadcasts for WCCP-FM and Clemson Tiger Sports Network for her seventh season in 2011-12.

She also served as a color analyst for ACC Select during last year's conference tournament.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to continue working with the women's basketball program here at Clemson and with Coach Coleman," Queen said.

Queen was given an opportunity to serve as an interim assistant coach while former Clemson Associate Head Coach Shanice Stephens was on maternity leave. She filled in for Stephens to start the 2007-08 season and was on the sidelines for the first 10 games. The Lady Tigers won five of them, including the Coors Classic in Colorado over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Queen earned four letters at Clemson from 2000 to 2004. A veteran of 104 games, she started 37 during her career. She totaled 241 points and 214 assists during her time as a Lady Tiger. She was named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll during each of her four years at Clemson.

She earned the ACC's Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship in 2004 as a result of her outstanding undergraduate academic and athletic accomplishments.

Queen earned her undergraduate degree in communication studies from Clemson in 2004 and completed her master's degree in Human Resource Development in May of 2006.
