Women's Soccer Announces 2018 Class

CLEMSON, S.C. – Head Coach Eddie Radwanski has announced the addition of Olivia Bonacorso, Sydney Dawson, Renee Guion, Jackson Moehler, Brooke Power, and Grace Wagner for the class of 2018 on Wednesday afternoon.

“I am really looking forward to the arrival of the 2018 class to Clemson,"said Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. "This group will bring a tremendous amount of positional versatility to our team.  Together they share that drive and inner strength required to compete in the ACC.   Most importantly they are a wonderful group of people.  As student-athletes they will embrace the responsibility of representing Clemson the right way on and off the field."

Olivia Bonacorso, Forward/MF (Club: FC Stars, Hometown: Middleton, Mass.)

Radwanski: “This kid is a fighter!  Terrific competitive mindset.  Versatile and quick off the dribble, can play anywhere on the left-side of the field.  A two-way player, she will do what it takes to help the team.  Played with FC Stars of Mass and Coach Jason Dewhurst.”

  • 2016 ECNL National Semi-Finalists

Sydney Dawson, Defender/Midfielder (Club: International S.C., Hometown: Akron, Ohio)

Radwanski: “One of the smarter players in the country, calm, composed, technically confident on the ball.  Sydney is a great fit for our style of play!  Can play in the back and in midfield.  Played for the Internationals SC & Coach Keri Sarver.”

  • Competed in ECNL with Club Team, Internationals SC
  • Attended 14 National Team training camps, at the U18, U19 and U20 levels
  • Played 17 matches with the WNT while attending Nation Team training camps
  • Competed in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Australia with the U18 WNT
  • Traveled and competed with the U19 WNT in Duyan, China and Prague, Czech Republic
  • Cumulative GPA of 4.07

Renee Guion, Midfielder/Defender (Club: CESA, Hometown: Simpsonville, S.C.)

Radwanski: “Left-footed player with a terrific soccer brain, can play in a number of positions, great striker of the ball, dangerous on set-pieces. Renee Played for Coach Andrew Hyslop at CESA.”

  • Three-time SCHSL All-Region member: 2015, 2016, 2017 and SCHSL All-State: 2017
  • Four-year member of the Mauldin H.S. Varsity Soccer Team, team captain from 2016-2018
  • Competed in ECNL with her Club CESA, team captain in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018
  • Selected to ECNL PDP – Southeast Region in 2016-17
  • Member of the National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society and Beta Club

Jackson Moehler, Defender (Club: NASA Tophat S.C., Hometown: Marietta, Ga.)

Radwanski: “Very good athlete, tough 1v1 defender, smart soccer player, a versatile competitor.  Jackson is technically sound and confident on the ball.  Plays for Tophat SC and Coach Troy Garner.”

  • Two-time All-County Team (2016, 2017)
  • 2017 Defender of the Year, 2015 Rookie of the Year
  • Tophat club team finished third in the Nation at 2017 ECNL Nationals in Chicago, Ill.
  • Nominated for the Georgia Positive Athlete Award and two-time recipient of the Raider Pride Award
  • Member of the National Honors Society, and Beta Club

Brooke Power, Midfielder/Forward (Club: South Carolina United, Hometown: Lexington, S.C.)

Radwanski: “Dynamic attacking player, good on the dribble with the ability to unsettle defenses.  Brooke will fit in well with our attacking group.  Plays for Coach Tomasz Kluszczynski and South Carolina United SC.”

  • Three-time member of the XXII team: 2015, 2016, 2017; two-time All-State: 2015, 2016
  • Three-time South Carolina State Champions with South Carolina United: 2014, 2015, 2016
  • 2016 USYSA National League top scorer
  • South Carolina United was the 2016 Region III League and Disney Showcase Champions
  • Voted MVP in 2016 for both South Carolina United and Lexington HS

Grace Wagner, Midfielder (Club: NC Courage, Hometown: Cary, N.C.)

Radwanski: “Strong and versatile midfield player.  Confident on the ball, excellent range of passing.  Grace's work ethic and high soccer IQ will make her a valuable asset for our team…Looking forward to her contributions.  Sister of former Clemson player Claire Wagner.  Played with NC Courage and Coach Sean Nahas.”

  • Two-time All-State: 2016, 2017
