Clemson sophomore Chris McBride posted a 7.71m long jump at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., on Wednesday evening, earning a fifth-place finish. It marked the highest finish in the long jump ever recorded by a Clemson athlete.

The USTFCCCA has named Marvin Gibson the Southeast Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year as the outdoor season winds to a close. Gibson was also named the region's assistant coach of the year following the indoor season.
